Marvin Gaye Thinks Ahead His Generation to Compose and Sing the Song “What's Going On” During His Time!!

We all know Marvin Gaye, a legendary singer. During his generation, we see a near peaceful world. The Major problem in the world then was discrimination and some other little challenges. Even at that time, people could still think ahead of good ideas that can make the world a better place and bring them into fruition. We still enjoy good music of yester-years compared to present. Marvin Gaye was able to take a look around the world he lived in and came out with a classic song “What’s going on” and everybody waved and danced for peace to return to the world but was something really going on then?

Then, it was a near peaceful world, all that was happening was a few war around the world, discrimination and few people dying.

Actually, after Marvin Gaye’s era, strange things started happening in the world. I once vowed that a Nigerian Man will be the last person in the world to commit suicide maybe as a result of frustration and now it’s just an everyday thing. Suicide bombing is now just a normal thing. What about rest of the world? The Gay world are now so powerful in places of polities and some can now come out and proudly say ‘they are gay’. India is now faced with all kinds of teenage ‘gang’ rape. We see the tension from North Korea and Iran as they look for a means to make use of their nuclear weapons on some Nations, the churches and Reverend Fathers are faced with all kinds of sexual scandals. What of the war in Syria and outrageous earthquakes in Asia continent?... Marvin Gaye only saw a few dead people on Television then in his time and felt bad about it. He then imagined an idea “what’s going on in the world”. Now death is just a normal thing on the Television. Guess that why nobody can think and write such classic song. Situations have made present generation not to think of how to save the world. All they now think of is just how to make money and survived alone.

On a conclusion, I think Marvin Gaye thinks ahead of his generation to sing the classic song “What’s going on” because it’s now that strange things are happening in the world and all people now do is just watch and pray to be safe but forgotten that their little contribution in terms of classic music or any other little way can be of great help to the world…

Think!!!... think about our world! think future!... just as Marvin Gaye did in his generation and come out with something that can be meaningful and help save our generation!… God bless our World!!!

As Buhari’s Vision to Become the President Come 2015 Continues!!!.

Recently, Former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari says that he can only change his mind on not contesting the 2015 Presidential election if a better candidate is presented by the major opposition party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) and some people started ridiculing the statement and we say “what is wrong with the statement?”

We know that many people especially from the southern part of the country are not in good terms with him and we have seen the massive corruption deeply eating the country apart. Nigerians are suffering and dying every day and to graduate from the higher institution is now just a normal thing because after graduation, the person stays at home.

Now the first and most important thing that can put the country to her road map again is to kill corruption and I guess this is the mind of this man and I also guess he knows that the southerners don’t like him. But now he made a good statement that will put the party on its heels to look for a very credible person or things won’t work or does it mean there is not a single credible person in this country?. Now, people are talking all sort of things about him. Well for me I think He said the right thing. We are tired of pretenders!!!... God bless Nigeria!!!

Now That the Best University in Nigeria is Ranked 23rd in Africa; Yet We Still Say we are Giant of Africa when We Can't Compete Top 5!!!

The list of top Universities and Colleges in Africa in 2013 was published by the 4icu.org University Web ranking some days back and we discovered the dominance of South African Universities. The best University in Nigeria came out 23rd in the list.  Now we are wondering how come Nigeria still say word… “Giant of Africa” when she can’t even compete in the top 5?

We all know America and Britain to be the main powerhouse in the world and we wonder how do they maintain this statuesque?... Actually, if we take a look at this two countries, we will find out that they have at least one standardized body in all the sector that can make a country relevant and they continually upgrade to keep up to date technology so as to remain in that spot. Example is the Harvard University and the Oxford University. They do this to keep in touch and make their system stay relevant. Thus they can say they are number one in the world.

Now we can’t imagine the one we call best in Nigeria is 23rd in Africa, then what will come out of it in world ranking?. Thus, how do we then say we are the giant of Africa? Meanwhile this University was compared to Oxford University many years ago. So what is happening to our Universities that it can no longer compete with the just established ones in Africa?.

Below is just a brief summary of what I saw on the list and was amazed at some country that understand staying in that spot means and have value for Education

1.    University of Cape Town – South Africa
2.    University  of South Africa – South Africa
3.    University of Pretoria – South Africa
4.    University of Stellenbosch – South Africa
5.    University of the Witwatersrand – South Africa
6.    University of Dar es Salaam – Tanzania
7.    University of Cairo – Egypt
10.  Makerere University – Uganda
15. Université Cheik Anta Diop – Senegal
23. University of Ibadan – Nigeria

Did I see Tanzania and Uganda there? Yes!... Then Nigeria can! if she chooses to. I guess Nigeria was giant of Africa when her school was compared to Oxford University many years ago... Well God bless Nigeria!!!

Leave Former Minister Alone, Probe Me Instead; Obasanjo Challenges President Jonathan!!

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said he is ready for a probe of his eight years administration instead of the present administration descending on his cabinet ministers.

Mr. Obasanjo made this criticism at the 50th birthday thanksgiving of former minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili in Abuja. He said he is ready to account for his stewardship.

He said if the present government finds anything wrong with his administration, he would bear the responsibility… “I have always said this, whatever you want to blame my government, blame me, don’t blame any of those people who assisted me”… for anything you want to say was wrong then, I was the one in charge” This was his reaction to the move to probe Mrs Ezekwesili by the Independence Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and challenge thrown to the former World Bank VP by the presidency to account for her tenure as Minister of Education

Now Baba have said his mind!... What are waiting for the present Government’s response o!!! … Our hands are crossed!!!

"I Have 99 Problems and now Jay Z is One" - Barack Obama blast Jay Z

The annual White house Correspondent Dinner is typically a light-hearted affair and this year's installment was no exception. The dinner tends to serve as an opportunity for the President to show off his humor and pop culture as these events tend to be ripe with entertaining moments

Prior to Obama stepping to the podium, the crowd in attendance was treated to Dj's Khalid's "All I Do Is Win" and Obama clearly enjoyed the moment as he synchronize his hand gesture to the match of the chorus and we normally know him as a lover of good hip hop music.

Then came the moment as Obama says "How do you like my entrance music" he jokingly asked the audience waiting for those assembled to sit before going into the rest of the speech

Later on, there come the moment of clarity where He had a chance to take a slick jab at Jay Z who accused a media frenzy with his visit to Cuba and subsequent "open letter" talking about issues that he has to deal with that are out of control and we know America is not in good stand with Cuba. Obama said "It's unbelievable... I have 99 problems and now Jay Z is one of them"... What??? They are best of friends mehnn!! and we know Jay Z don't play with his business. Is Jay really crossing the line? and we are aware that Beyonce created a controversy some time back which lead to the opposite party calling for Obama's resignation when she apparently lip-synch the National Anthem.

Well we are yet to hear Jay Z's part of the story or response. We will keep you guys posted.
