Marvin Gaye Thinks Ahead His Generation to Compose and Sing the Song “What's Going On” During His Time!!

We all know Marvin Gaye, a legendary singer. During his generation, we see a near peaceful world. The Major problem in the world then was discrimination and some other little challenges. Even at that time, people could still think ahead of good ideas that can make the world a better place and bring them into fruition. We still enjoy good music of yester-years compared to present. Marvin Gaye was able to take a look around the world he lived in and came out with a classic song “What’s going on” and everybody waved and danced for peace to return to the world but was something really going on then?

Then, it was a near peaceful world, all that was happening was a few war around the world, discrimination and few people dying.

Actually, after Marvin Gaye’s era, strange things started happening in the world. I once vowed that a Nigerian Man will be the last person in the world to commit suicide maybe as a result of frustration and now it’s just an everyday thing. Suicide bombing is now just a normal thing. What about rest of the world? The Gay world are now so powerful in places of polities and some can now come out and proudly say ‘they are gay’. India is now faced with all kinds of teenage ‘gang’ rape. We see the tension from North Korea and Iran as they look for a means to make use of their nuclear weapons on some Nations, the churches and Reverend Fathers are faced with all kinds of sexual scandals. What of the war in Syria and outrageous earthquakes in Asia continent?... Marvin Gaye only saw a few dead people on Television then in his time and felt bad about it. He then imagined an idea “what’s going on in the world”. Now death is just a normal thing on the Television. Guess that why nobody can think and write such classic song. Situations have made present generation not to think of how to save the world. All they now think of is just how to make money and survived alone.

On a conclusion, I think Marvin Gaye thinks ahead of his generation to sing the classic song “What’s going on” because it’s now that strange things are happening in the world and all people now do is just watch and pray to be safe but forgotten that their little contribution in terms of classic music or any other little way can be of great help to the world…

Think!!!... think about our world! think future!... just as Marvin Gaye did in his generation and come out with something that can be meaningful and help save our generation!… God bless our World!!!

As Buhari’s Vision to Become the President Come 2015 Continues!!!.

Recently, Former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari says that he can only change his mind on not contesting the 2015 Presidential election if a better candidate is presented by the major opposition party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) and some people started ridiculing the statement and we say “what is wrong with the statement?”

We know that many people especially from the southern part of the country are not in good terms with him and we have seen the massive corruption deeply eating the country apart. Nigerians are suffering and dying every day and to graduate from the higher institution is now just a normal thing because after graduation, the person stays at home.

Now the first and most important thing that can put the country to her road map again is to kill corruption and I guess this is the mind of this man and I also guess he knows that the southerners don’t like him. But now he made a good statement that will put the party on its heels to look for a very credible person or things won’t work or does it mean there is not a single credible person in this country?. Now, people are talking all sort of things about him. Well for me I think He said the right thing. We are tired of pretenders!!!... God bless Nigeria!!!

Now That the Best University in Nigeria is Ranked 23rd in Africa; Yet We Still Say we are Giant of Africa when We Can't Compete Top 5!!!

The list of top Universities and Colleges in Africa in 2013 was published by the 4icu.org University Web ranking some days back and we discovered the dominance of South African Universities. The best University in Nigeria came out 23rd in the list.  Now we are wondering how come Nigeria still say word… “Giant of Africa” when she can’t even compete in the top 5?

We all know America and Britain to be the main powerhouse in the world and we wonder how do they maintain this statuesque?... Actually, if we take a look at this two countries, we will find out that they have at least one standardized body in all the sector that can make a country relevant and they continually upgrade to keep up to date technology so as to remain in that spot. Example is the Harvard University and the Oxford University. They do this to keep in touch and make their system stay relevant. Thus they can say they are number one in the world.

Now we can’t imagine the one we call best in Nigeria is 23rd in Africa, then what will come out of it in world ranking?. Thus, how do we then say we are the giant of Africa? Meanwhile this University was compared to Oxford University many years ago. So what is happening to our Universities that it can no longer compete with the just established ones in Africa?.

Below is just a brief summary of what I saw on the list and was amazed at some country that understand staying in that spot means and have value for Education

1.    University of Cape Town – South Africa
2.    University  of South Africa – South Africa
3.    University of Pretoria – South Africa
4.    University of Stellenbosch – South Africa
5.    University of the Witwatersrand – South Africa
6.    University of Dar es Salaam – Tanzania
7.    University of Cairo – Egypt
10.  Makerere University – Uganda
15. Université Cheik Anta Diop – Senegal
23. University of Ibadan – Nigeria

Did I see Tanzania and Uganda there? Yes!... Then Nigeria can! if she chooses to. I guess Nigeria was giant of Africa when her school was compared to Oxford University many years ago... Well God bless Nigeria!!!

Leave Former Minister Alone, Probe Me Instead; Obasanjo Challenges President Jonathan!!

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said he is ready for a probe of his eight years administration instead of the present administration descending on his cabinet ministers.

Mr. Obasanjo made this criticism at the 50th birthday thanksgiving of former minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili in Abuja. He said he is ready to account for his stewardship.

He said if the present government finds anything wrong with his administration, he would bear the responsibility… “I have always said this, whatever you want to blame my government, blame me, don’t blame any of those people who assisted me”… for anything you want to say was wrong then, I was the one in charge” This was his reaction to the move to probe Mrs Ezekwesili by the Independence Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and challenge thrown to the former World Bank VP by the presidency to account for her tenure as Minister of Education

Now Baba have said his mind!... What are waiting for the present Government’s response o!!! … Our hands are crossed!!!

"I Have 99 Problems and now Jay Z is One" - Barack Obama blast Jay Z

The annual White house Correspondent Dinner is typically a light-hearted affair and this year's installment was no exception. The dinner tends to serve as an opportunity for the President to show off his humor and pop culture as these events tend to be ripe with entertaining moments

Prior to Obama stepping to the podium, the crowd in attendance was treated to Dj's Khalid's "All I Do Is Win" and Obama clearly enjoyed the moment as he synchronize his hand gesture to the match of the chorus and we normally know him as a lover of good hip hop music.

Then came the moment as Obama says "How do you like my entrance music" he jokingly asked the audience waiting for those assembled to sit before going into the rest of the speech

Later on, there come the moment of clarity where He had a chance to take a slick jab at Jay Z who accused a media frenzy with his visit to Cuba and subsequent "open letter" talking about issues that he has to deal with that are out of control and we know America is not in good stand with Cuba. Obama said "It's unbelievable... I have 99 problems and now Jay Z is one of them"... What??? They are best of friends mehnn!! and we know Jay Z don't play with his business. Is Jay really crossing the line? and we are aware that Beyonce created a controversy some time back which lead to the opposite party calling for Obama's resignation when she apparently lip-synch the National Anthem.

Well we are yet to hear Jay Z's part of the story or response. We will keep you guys posted.

The Controversial State Pardon Grant: Are Nigerian Really Convinced that the Federal Govt. is Fighting Corruption???

The senior Special Assistance for Public Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe on Wednesday confirmed media reports that the Council of States has granted state pardon to the Former Bayelsa State Governor,  Diepreye Alamieyeseigha and former  managing director  of the Bank of the North Nigeria Plc, Alhaji Shettima Mohammed Bulama. Both of them were convicted for fraud after an arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC)… Hmmm serious!

Others that were also granted state pardon include Gen Diya, Maj Gen. Tajudeen Olanrewaju, Maj Segun Fadipe, Maj. Bello Magaji and Mohammed Lima Biu. Then Major-General Shehu Musa Yar’adua (elder brother to late President Yar’adua ) and Major-Genral Abdukareem Adisa; both who are now post-humous beneficiary of the pardon.

Nigerians understand the reasons for pardon of these Military men or dissident as they were alleged to have planned to overthrow the regime of late Gen. Sani Abacha. The allege coup was uncovered by Force loyal to Gen. Abacha and the former Chief of general staff was subsequently jailed.

But what Nigerians don’t understand is as she is trying very hard to fight against corruption, suddenly two former corrupt political office holders unexpectedly get state pardon. Then we ask what is need for the EFCC? . What will this tell of other present office holders who are corrupt?... that after all some have been granted state pardon after all!.  Finally how do the Federal Government expect Nigerians to believe that they are trying very hard to fight corruption?

Hmmm… President, we think you should put these into consideration before making such decisions because the trust you are trying to regain from Nigerians become shaky once again in this kind of decision!

God bless Nigeria!!

Is Jay Z Really Dumping Kanye West?

We all know what seems to be going on between Jay Z and Kanye West. Last time, Kanye West dissed Justin Timberlake and Jay Z in Justin's "Suit and Tie" song featuring Jay Z and some days back, Kanye seems to rank Lil Wayne; Jay Z's rival in the game above him

Now Justin Timberlake changes a line of his 'Suit and Tie' song. Hmmm... seems to be referring to Kanye West.

In the line, Justin said "My hit's so sick, it got rappers acting dramatic" from the original "Shit so sick got a hit and picked up a habit"  and then, Jay Z came out and did his verse. Hmmm... only time will tell o. stay tuned.

The Last Words of Hugo Chavez... "I Don't Want to Die"

As the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is mourned around the world, one of his close associates reveals that he died from massive heart attack

Chavez, 58, has been suffering from Cancer since 2011 and has being treated for it in Cuba.  General Jose Ornella, who said he had been with Chavez for the past two years, said that before he died, “He couldn't speak but said it with his lips… ‘I don’t want to die’, because he loved his country, he sacrificed himself for his country”

Well that’s life… Some will have him in their hearts forever while some will remain to hate him even at his death but I guess one thing stands out, Chavez has done his contribution to his country and world. The people of Venezuela should make sure they vote in person of their choice that can take the country to next level!…

As Obasanjo Says "Nobody's is Above the Law" When He Visits FRSC For His Driver's License: What Does it Send to Others Politicians??

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has been very wonderful words lately. From his birthday, He decided to dedicate himself onward for the good and progress of the country. Yes! Baba is actually representing!!!.

The Former President was at Abuja National Headquarters of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) where he just did his driver’s license to ensure compliance with the traffic rules and regulations. Speaking after processing the license, He said “if I have to drive, I must have a valid driver’s license like others”. He added “anybody who wants to be law abiding must go through this process because you cannot be bigger than the law, no matter your political or social status. You must pass through this unless you are not ready to be law abiding”.
Hmmm… Some people call Him Maradonna but lately He has been in truth wonderful in terms of words that can make things work for the good of the country. Do you think He is sending Message to other Big Politicians in the country to be law abiding too or it’s just another ‘I Dey Laugh’ talk?

Youth Umemployment Will Soon Be a Thing of the Past - says Minister... Hmmm!

Right from the inception of this Government, all we have been hearing from all these Ministers are some millions of jobs have been provided by this ministry or that ministry or that by so so years to come that FG will have employed so so millions of unemployed youths but we wonder who are these millions of people that were employed by these ministries?

Now, Minister of Youth Development, Inuwa Abdulkadir, has again assured Nigerians that the problem of youth unemployment in the country may soon become a thing of the past. In an interview he granted to the Nigerian Tribune, the Minister remarked that Government was involved in a number of training programmes with assistance of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for the Nigerian youths across the country to turn them into self-employed persons and employers of labour within short time.

Hmmm... What do you think about this interview? have you seen these people undergoing training he claimed  or He is just protecting his Ministry just as others?

Now That Court Clears Jonathan For 2015 Presidential Elections and Other Parties...

President Goodluck Jonathan has been clear by a Federal High Court in Abuja to run in the 2015 Presidential election

The Presiding Judge, Justice Mudashiru Oniyanji on Friday, ruled that President Jonathan is eligible to contest the forthcoming 2015 Presidential election if he so desires.

Now that the air has been cleared, everybody are gradually getting set for the 2015 Presidential election and just yesterday also, the New Merged party, APC Governors come together in Maiduguri  and walked round the streets and Markets of Maiduguri greeting the People of the state thus showing them that they care about them amid the heavy presence of Boko Haram in the state... This is also in anticipation towards 2015 Presidential election. I must tell you Nigeria Politics is growing. What people and  the World Power envisage in 2015 might turn to a failure because as every party start preparation now, the tension will keep on dying down with time.

God bless Nigeria and God bless Nigeria Politics!!!

Photos of Osaze Odewingie's Son; Noah... Hmmm... Handsome right?

As Tony Anenih is Made BOT Chairman of PDP: What are Other Parties Doing?

2015 is fast approaching and a few Parties are putting their houses in order. Of such party is the People's Democratic Party. The PDP have elected Chief Tony Anenih as their Board of Trustee (BOT) chairman following the little crises that is trying to rock the party lately.  The only thing 'Other Parties' could do for now as some  try to think ahead is to stay there and start saying that a party is the coalition of INEC, Police and NNPC all put together.

Hmmm... We dey laugh. I think the only way to the top is 'planning' as you watch your opposition... Make good use of their mistakes when step out of line.

As our democracy grow everyday, we should try and let the bad old days of rigging elections go and focus on strategies that can take each parties to their desired height and by so doing, our Democracy will keep on growing... Other parties, be wise now. God bless Nigeria and God bless our Democracy!!! Other parties be

'She Loves Me'... 'I'm Forgiven'... Chris Brown Speaks on Relationship With Rihanna

Chris Brown finally lets it loose on his assault on Rihanna and their coming back together again.

He said "That night was the deepest regret of my life, biggest mistake... but She loves me - what can I say? I'm forgiven... but, yes I worked hard for it" .

He added "Somtimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spiral"... We know Chris to actually go wild immediately when something sparks him but we hope He has learnt alot of lesson now and have a wonderful relationship with Rihanna. I even heard they are planning of getting married.

Hmmm... Nice!. Well for those who are still having grudges for  Him, just try to let it go because Rihanna has forgiven him and we hope He meant those words...

Our advice to Chris  is,... "Just let it be beautiful" as you have initially said.

Basket Mouth Acquires "Custom Made" INSIGRA Car!.. First of it Kind in Africa

Popular African Comedian, Bright Okpocha a.k.a Basket Mouth just acquire the 2013 Opel Insigra Car. First of it kind in Africa and rumours had it that the Car was built to Basket Mouth's specification. which means this is Basket Mouth's car alone. Another of it kind is not in any show room in the world. We say go on BM and keep on making Africa Proud!... and get inspired people!!

Kanye West on Rant again: Disses JT's ft. Jay Z "Suit and Tie" on stage.

We all know him as the King of Rant. When some stuffs are in his mind, he just go out and say it at that instant not cognizance of the event or ceremony. We all remember the West's skit on Taylor Swift award where He preferred Beyonce to pick up the award. We remember the MTV Europe Award. He just let out his mind at any moment.

Now, Kanye West went on rant again on stage after concluding his "Clique" performance at the London's Hammersmith Apollo. This time, we picks on Justin Timberlake's "Suit and Tie" song featuring Jay Z. He  felt he had to get some weight of his chest and went maniac addressing his disdain for The Grammys, coporations and how they try to put logos over concerts, and how he hates business people because creativity fuels everything and the  "Punch" goes like this...

He said "reminds me again why we in this sh-t, Reminds me again why Grammys could s--k my d--k, reminds me again who's the original super fly. And i got nothing but love for Hov, but i ain't f---ing with that "Suit and Tie"

Now we say is West angry with Jay Z because he (West) wasn't part of the song or the 12 concerts they scheduled round US? or maybe he is got a feeling that JT is not talented that he (JT) is just in the game for the business aspect of it.

Hmmm... No matter what it is, we will get to know some day. Just time. Stay tuned peeps.

Why Do Couples Look Alike After Years of Living Together?.Why Do Couples Look Alike After Years of Living Together?.

There are many theories that have attempted to explain this phenomenon. One for instance claim that people who have spent alot of time together, feeding on same diet and getting exposed to same environmental factors thus end up looking alike.

One that interest me most was one on Emotional Change Facial Feature

This says that emotions you experience everyday can change your facial features over time. Have you in truth noticed people who stay depressed and emotionally stressed  (i.e anxiety, sadness etc) for long time?, Their situations tend to change their facial look over time.

Now this emotional change facial feature says for couple that have spent alot of time together, they thus develop Empathy and start to experience the same emotions together and since emotions affect facial features, they start to look alike after years of being together.

Hmmm... Nice one!. Well for me, I think the most important reason for a couple looking alike after years of togetherness is 'mindset'. Yes mindset.  Right from the very day the couple make up their mind to become one on the alter, they both decide to put away their weaknesses and focus on both 'strength'. By so doing, they come together in oneness and just flourish over time.  This is what two shall become one entails.  So couple that do not possess same quality in either way of rendering something together after many years of living, then you can conclude what may be wrong over time with them.

So are you thinking of becoming one with him or her? Then take a look at yourself and then his or her attitude. Are you both willing to reset your mind and let go of somethings? If yes, then you are ready for everlasting union full of Happiness and the end result will be couple who are "Happy and look alike".

Osaze Blast Keshi Again but Nigerians Say...!

Osaze Odemwingie tweets again  which appeared to be directed to The Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Steven Keshi.

In his tweet, he said... "a coach the country is praising now will one day be sacked and to his achievements they ll say: only one cup ? I beg," but i think Nigerians are happy for now. A Legend don't remain forever instead the good old days remain Memories.

Or what do you think of Osaze's tweet against Keshi again? Do you think he is regretting not among honoured Super Eagles or still beefing the Coach Keshi?

David Mark and Babangida Aliyu In a War of Words over 2015 Presidential Seat.

Senate President, David Mark and Governor of Niger State, Mua'zu Aliyu were in exchange of words lately over the need for President Jonathan and his Team to quit the stage in 2015

Governor Mua'zu Aliyu who is thought to be eyeing the Presidency Post in 2015 was speaking at the opening of the Presidential Summit on Water, at the Banquet Hall of Presidential Villa, where he suggested that the people should have right to sue governments if they fail to provide necessary amenities.

But Senate President David Mark in his own Message on the same occasion  reminded the Governor that the responsibility for the provision of water belongs to state and local governments and therefore, suggested that people of Niger State should sue their Governor if, by 2015, he was unable to provide portable water to every household in the state.

Before now, Governor Aliyu said Jonathan only agrees for a single term and i even heard some group are already advising him to join the New Merged Party APC and contest against the PDP in 2015.

Hmmm... Is this desperation?  I think the Governor should go back to work because many desperate Governors tried it in the past... Nobody even knew who Late President Yar'adua was until after the PDP primary then. Nobody would even think of the Now President Jonathan being the Vice President to the Late President Yar'adua's in his time. Even Nobody will even think of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo to contest for the Presidency in 1999 when gallant men like IBB and others were on ground. I think this position depends on your hard work and bit of Goodluck on your side.

Nigeria is a big country  and can't conquer her  for being powerful in your state alone. Her politics are Unique. If you think i'm off track, go and ask former desperadoes such as Peter Odili, Rochas Okorochas, Atiku Abubakar and so on. Just do your work and pray for it to be your time; of which i think Rochas is doing now. Well Goodluck! to everybody eyeing that seat in 2015.

The Drama of Darey Concert and Kim Kardashian.

I hear people say all sort of things concerning Kim Kardashian, making a minute appearance at the Darey Art Alade's Concert and zooming off to the States immediately and i ask what were people expecting from her before? To come on stage and start singing? or start acting Keeping with the Kardashians on stage?

It's funny to see all these complains. I think Kim K did what she was paid to do in the show. Period! because she is not a singer nor an actor. Maybe she should have come on stage and start  telling stories of him and Kanye West on stage then.

It's just like featuring an artist that doesn't rhythm in a good composed song. It doesn't work. So for me i think Kim K did what she was paid heavily for, for the few seconds she stayed in Nigeria; To take 'Pictures' with the Guests. Yes to take Pictures with those that could get access to her that minute. After that there was no use of her staying.

For me i think organizers really need to define who they are inviting for a show before they do. At least there must be that match or fitting into the concept of the show. Naija be wiser!!.

I Will Contest For President in 2015 - Gen Muhammadu Buhari

After months of tittle-tattle and gossips over his political aspiration, leader of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Gen Muhammadu Buhari has finally stated that he would not turn down the offer to become the presidential flagbearer of the New Merged party, The All Progressive Congress (APC), in 2015.

On the issue of sharing of national offices and selection of candidates for elective positions, the three-time contender for the presidency assured that APC will follow due process

He said "many people especially from my party are really disturbed.  The joyful thing is that I didn't say I quit       politics as far as I am still alive. I only said that I will not present myself to contest  but if my party members said  they want me to remain in the race, I will"

This statement came out some days after Him (Muhammadu Buhari and Chief Ahmed Bola Tinubu, leader of the ACN )  both said that they will not contest for the presidency under the New merged party APC in 2015... hmm we hope misunderstanding don't result so that this party can really be a major opposition for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) come 2015... Well our fingers are crossed
