Egyptian Referee, Grisha Ghead to be Expelled from Afcon

Egyptian Referee, Grisha Ghead, who officiated the controversial second group c match between Nigeria and the Defending Champion Zambia, on Friday may be dismissed from the on going Africa Nation's Cup by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a result of poor officiating.

Ghead gave Zambia a late controversial penalty which ensured that the match ended 1-1. The Nigeria Football Federation  (NFF) lodged a complaint with caf after the match and the caf President, Mr. Issa Hayatou assured Nigeria's sport minister Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi that Prompt action has been taken against the referee and that the official will be sent home. Caf is yet to react officially but one thing is for sure, what have been done have been done and we ask, why poor officiating in our two matches so far? Hope there is no conspiracy somewhere? because Nigeria is been known for its fair play. Before the start of the competition, we witnessed the LC2 and BON saga and now, Nigeria becoming the most unfairly treated team in the ongoing  Afcon 2013. Well, our fingers are crossed!
